Prestonwood Rotary joined with Preston Trails HOA to support our Veterans at a Memorial Ceremony on Monday, November 11th at 6:00 pm. The ceremony was set in a quiet park surrounded by six flags highlighted by special lighting. The ceremony began with David Griffin playing Taps. Local Boy Scout troop provided the color guard ceremony, complete with the placement of a memorial wreath. Approximately 45 people were in attendance from Prestonwood and the Preston Trails neighborhood. Several Veterans spoke about their experiences and others added their stories from family members who served. It is hoped that this will become an annual event.
