Christine Volkmer, Director of Development for EQuest.  Everyone remember Vegas the EQuest horse, who had an infection that many of us contributed to helping cure? Vegas had flies buzzing all around her face, sort of like my cousin Sonny Friedman has after a hard day at Atlas Plumbing. In any event, EQuest’s director of Development, Christine Volkmer will be visiting to explain how equestrian therapy helps a number of people with adjustment difficulties. “The mission of Equest is to enhance the quality of life for children and adults with diverse needs using horses to bring hope and healing through equine assisted activities and therapies,” the organization’s Web site says.  Please come for what is sure to be an enlightening session.
