It was a pleasure to be your Assistant District Governor last year. I enjoyed the fellowship so much that I decided to join your club. I thank you for welcoming me as well as the twelve of us from the East Dallas Rotary Club. For those that don't know, the EDR was the second oldest club in Dallas County. Last year we celebrated our 75th anniversary. During that time, we have a long history of providing service through our club, community, and international projects. Unfortunately, covid took a toll on our numbers as we lost eighteen of our members in the last several years. Then our weekly meeting place, Seasons 52, was shut down in January. This was an irrecoverable blow to us. The East Dallas Rotarians looked at multiple clubs to join and are so pleased that you asked us to be a part of your club. Under Vickie's leadership, we look forward to blending our two clubs together and continuing the many projects that Rotary offers to our world.
