Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
Prestonwood Rotary's favorite October event is Law Enforcement Day. Twenty-five DPD officers, family members and other DPD associates were joined by AG John Johnstone (Rotary Club of Dallas Uptown) and AG Michael Callahan (Rotary Club of East Dallas), along with Prestonwood Rotarians to fill Cafe de France for this very special occasion.  This year we honored three officers: Senior Corporal Matthew Meltabarger, Senior Corporal Haydee Bowen, and Officer Gloriangelica Valencia.  Each officer received a plaque with their name and badge number for their distinguished Service Above Self, gift certificates for dining from local restaurants, a check and a thermal coffee cup.
After the presentations, Deputy Chief Ismail of the East Division spoke to the group expressing his gratitude to Prestonwood Rotary for their continued service, honoring the DPD and to each officer for their service and accomplishments.
